Set in a lovely rural region of northern France, under one hour away from the northern ports and Eurotunnel, all three cottages are set in traditional French villages. Coq Rouge is located in Campagne les Boulonnais, Bell’Aa in Aix-en-Ergny and Rose Cottage and The Barn are located in the grounds of our farmhouse in Ergny – 4km from each village. As we live on site we can help you with ideas for great days out and reservations if necessary.
Visit the wide sandy beaches of the coast, the more adventurous can try sand-yachting or explore the lovely villages and towns along this unspoilt area of France and enjoy the traditional weekly markets or seasonal Sunday brocantes. Ideal for cycling or walking along the quiet country lanes or enjoy one of the many Rambling pathways in the area.. Visit St Omer with its lovely squares or play the challenging 18 hole golf course just 20 minutes away at Lumbres, one of the best in France. Not to be missed is the walled city of Montreuil sur Mer with its gastronomic restaurants and panoramic views from the ramparts or head for the sandy beaches on the Cote d’Opale. The Somme region is not far away and history lovers will enjoy Arras with its WW1 memories, cobbled squares and museums, visit Albert and Peronne with their superb museums. Chocolate lovers will be tempted by a visit to the Belgian city of Brugges with its canals and pretty shops, just over 90 minutes away by motorway. Whether you want sophisticated resorts like Le Touquet with designer shopping, restaurants, beaches and casino, or more unspoilt coastal treasures with sleepy seaside resorts, there is a beach to please everyone.
